Styles of Yoga
Hatha Yoga - Beginner
Hatha yoga comprises many physical postures and positions that balance the body and mind. These classes are best for beginners since they are usually paced slower than other yoga styles. If you are brand-new to yoga, Hatha yoga is a great entry point to the practice. Hatha yoga helps us destress, stay physically fit and agile, and make us look younger. In addition, Hatha yoga purifies and heals our system, and sustained practice leads to weight loss and toned muscles.

Hatha en Espanol - Beginner
¿Quieres hacer yoga en español? ¡Llegó el momento! Holy Yoga Flow - Moderate
Holy Yoga embraces the essential elements of yoga: breath work, meditation and physical postures. In all of these elements, Christ is the focus of our intention and worship.
This class is a Vinyasa type flow, geared toward moderate level yogis.

Oncology Yoga - Cancer Community
Blue Lotus Yoga & Wellness, in conjunction with the Christina Phipps Foundation, will be offering a gentle/restorative hatha class in Oncology Yoga free of charge. If you or someone you know has been affected by cancer, please share this class and let them know that they are welcome to join!

Restorative Yoga - Beginner
This class utilizes props to support the body while poses are held for five minutes or longer. You will spend more time in fewer poses while the body winds down and relaxes into the ground. This style of yoga helps to cleanse and free the mind. These classes are perfect for anyone needing to de-stress, alleviate pain, or has difficulty with relaxation.
Offered: Fridays at 7pm
Silver Sneakers - Older Adults
Chair assisted, off-the-floor practice, gentle and geared towards beginners and those looking to reintroduce flexibility to the body. This class is for Silver Sneakers members only. We must verify your membership before you can participate in Silver Sneakers classes. Please bring your membership card to the front desk on your next visit.
Sneakers MUST be worn for this class.

Sound Bath
Allow the crystal singing bowls to take you to a place of deep relaxation and release. This sonic meditation utilizes coherent sound to reduce the grip and pace of our day-to-day thoughts, inviting a state of peace in the body, mind, and spirit as the electromagnetic signature of the brain and body organs begin to entrain to the sound frequencies of the singing bowls.
Offered: Wednesdays at 7pm
Vinyasa Yoga - Moderate/Advanced (including emPOWERing Vinyasa)
This class is designed specifically to improve muscle strength and cardiovascular endurance. The poses are challenging and you move from one pose to the next quickly. It provides a good physical workout. A power yoga class may seem more like an aerobics class than a relaxed, mindful yoga experience. Though it requires mindfulness and focus on your breathing, power yoga is more dynamic than meditative.
This class incorporates movement and breathing techniques, as it creates a steady flow of postures with controlled breathing. Vinyasa is often considered the most athletic yoga style and is a good choice for students wishing to engage in high-intensity exercise, it helps with anxiety, depression, blood pressure and better sleep.

Yin Yoga - Beginner
Yin yoga is slower and more meditative, giving you space to turn inward and tune into both your mind and the physical sensations of your body. You hold poses for a longer period of time than you would in other traditional types of yoga, yin yoga helps you stretch and lengthen those rarely-used tissues while also teaching you how to breathe through discomfort and sit with your thoughts.
